What is semi-synthetic oil?
Semi-synthetic oil, also called a synthetic blend, combines conventional base oil with synthetic base oil. It offers better protection against heat and breakdown than conventional oil and flows better on cold starts, which matters on chilly Heber Valley mornings. For many everyday vehicles it is an excellent balance of protection and value. If your owner's manual requires full synthetic oil, choose our full synthetic oil change instead.
Signs you are due for an oil change
- Your oil life monitor or maintenance reminder is on
- You have reached the mileage in your owner's manual
- The oil on the dipstick looks dark and gritty or the level is low
- It has been about a year since your last change
Why the tire rotation matters
Front and rear tires wear differently. Rotating them regularly spreads that wear evenly so the set lasts longer, and balancing helps prevent vibration at highway speeds. Doing both with your oil change keeps maintenance simple.

Question: Is semi-synthetic oil good for older, high-mileage engines?
For many older engines, a synthetic blend is an upgrade over conventional oil because it resists breakdown better and flows well when cold. Always use the viscosity listed in your owner's manual. If your engine burns or leaks oil, tell us when you book so we can take a look during the visit.
