Front-End and 4-Wheel Alignment
Proper wheel alignment keeps your vehicle tracking straight, helps your tires wear evenly and improves handling on snowy and wet roads. Tracy's Auto Repair in Heber City offers both front-end and 4-wheel alignments, depending on what your vehicle requires.
Signs your vehicle needs an alignment
- The vehicle pulls or drifts to one side on a straight road
- The steering wheel is off-center when driving straight
- Tires are wearing on one edge or show a feathered pattern
- Tires squeal during normal turns
Front-end vs. 4-wheel alignment
Vehicles with a solid rear axle usually need only a front-end alignment. Many front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive vehicles have adjustable rear suspension and need a 4-wheel alignment so all four wheels point in the same direction.
When to have alignment checked
- After installing new tires
- After a hard pothole or curb strike, especially after winter
- After steering or suspension repairs
- Whenever you notice pulling or uneven tire wear

Question: How long does an alignment take?
Many alignments take about an hour. If steering or suspension parts are worn, they should be replaced first, because worn parts will not hold the alignment settings. We will let you know if we find anything that needs attention before we adjust the angles.
