Is a Used SUV Right for You?

SUVs and crossovers are a natural fit for life in the Heber Valley, with room for gear, more ground clearance for snowy driveways and, on many models, all-wheel or four-wheel drive. When shopping for a used SUV, pay close attention to tires, brakes and suspension, which work harder on a heavier vehicle, and ask whether the AWD or 4WD system has been serviced.

Before You Buy Any Used Vehicle

Ask for the VIN and review a vehicle history report and the title status.
Take a test drive that includes highway speeds and a hill, and watch for warning lights.
Check the tires, brakes and fluids, and look underneath for leaks and rust.
Consider a professional pre-purchase inspection.

Our used car pre-purchase checklist covers each step in detail.
